Sanctuary Refuge
Sanctuary Refuge is a charity committed to providing refuge, safety, comfort, nutrition, and case management counselling for women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Depending on each person’s needs and unique situation, Sanctuary Refuge provides temporary accommodation, access to medical services and intensive counselling on site to address their emotional trauma (including one on one and group counselling). Women at the refuge are encouraged to find alternative long-term accommodation, return to work and/or study and access Government support.
Founded with a vision of creating a safe and supportive environment, Sanctuary Refuge strives to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and regain their independence. Every donation to The Sanctuary helps to provide shelter, counselling, education and support for women and children escaping domestic violence. Show the Way
Show The Way is driven by a single goal – to always strive to make a difference to the Gold Coast’s homeless community by providing immediate food relief and essentials to support men, women and children who are in crisis and homeless. Show the Way takes a holistic approach to community development. Their initiatives include providing those in need with a warm meal, blanket, sleeping bag, clothing, toiletries and every day basic necessities.
